Groundworks offers a serene retreat center nestled on 35 acres, boasting breathtaking views of the Shawangunk Ridge. This haven is designed for relaxation, focus, and creativity, providing a medley of activities to engage with the natural beauty of the surroundings. Guests are lodged in one of the 3 buildings on the property. They are free to meander along walking trails, unwind in gazebos, play on the trampoline, relax in the sauna and/or hot tub or luxuriate in hammocks with a book.
The property features several spots to savor the sunset and multiple fire pits for nocturnal relaxation and stargazing.
The main residence, where hosts Kristen and Frank live, is a welcoming farmhouse with five bedrooms. It's a space shared with guests, offering home-cooked meals in a large kitchen, dining room, and a living room with a fireplace. The comforts extend outdoors with a spacious deck, a fire pit, a hot tub and sauna!
An apartment perched above the stables provides stunning ridge views, accommodating 4-6 people with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a kitchenette.
Dining at Groundworks is a culinary delight with health-conscious, vegetable-centric dishes prepared from the freshest local produce, including organic garden offerings and eggs from the property's free-range chickens.
Please note: Revenue received by the venue for this retreat will go towards Groundworks primary goal: to provide free-of-cost residencies supporting people such as artists and activists who are working on valuable projects. We appreciate your support in these efforts.

Anytime on Friday after 1pm. Many folks are likely traveling from NYC, so we scheduled the first yoga practice to begin in the early evening. If you arrive early, take your time, unpack, explore the grounds, take a sauna, luxuriate in the hot-tub, enjoy a nap, read a book. If you need to come after a full workday, you are still welcome to join although you may miss our opening class.
-
Your daily meals will source local, organic ingredients, farm-to-table style. If you have any dietary restrictions, just let us know. We’ve got you covered.
